Academic Qualifications You must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with: At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (P C M), and At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII Physical Fitness The Institute has laid down detailed minimum physical fitness and medical standards. The candidate has to meet these standards to qualify for admission. You are advised to have yourself medically examined by competent doctors before applying
In addition to theoretical and practical training, students are required to participate in the co-curricular and extracurricular activities of the Institute.
Tolani Maritime Institute's selection process will test candidates on each of the parameters like Communication skills Temperamental suitability for a sea career Leadership qualities Physical fitness Aptitude for scientific concepts Selection will be based on these parameters as wel las by taking into account a candidate's 10+2 PCM marks, result of the TMI online entrance exam, performance in an interview and satisfactory medical tests.
The candiadtes can appear in BITSAT or TMISAT entrance exam. CET/IIT JEE marks are not considered.

After three years training at the campus, students will have to undergo a one-year structured training programme on board ships or other marine related activities. In addition to theoretical and practical training, students are required to participate in the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the Institute.

The programme would include courses in engineering, management and project work.Successful completion of the 16 weeks programme at TMI would enable the students to seek direct admission to the second semester of the M. Sc. Degree of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde in Glasgow (UK). Eligibility Criteria Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Production Engineering.
