The eligibility Criteria for admission to the MBA course as per Calcutta University Regulation is as follows : Honours Degree in any discipline / graduate in any professional Course like Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, LLB (5 years), etc. Or its equivalent from any University recognized by the University of Calcutta.
Students of full-time MBA are admitted through the Common Admission Test (CAT) jointly held with IIMs.
IISWBM gets the CAT score of the candidates from the IIM admission committee who have applied for admission into IISWBM. On the basis of a cut-off-mark, the candidates are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at IISWBM, Kolkata or other centres outside West Bengal. The final list of the selected candidates are prepared strictly on the basis of merit.
1. D. K. Sanyal Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the candidate standing First in order of merit in the Admission test. 2. D. K. Sanyal Memorial Gold Medal is awarded to the candidate standing First in order of merit in the Final Examination. 3. Arabinda Banerjee Memorial Silver Medal is awarded to the candidate standing second in order of merit in the Final Examination.

The course is offered in various specializations like Environment, Energy, Health Care & Hospital and Transportation & Logistics. The minimum qualification for admission to the Course is a Bachelor’s Degree (in 10+2+3 system) with Honours Science / Commerce / Art/ Business Administration or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medical Science / Law or its equivalent from any University recognized by the University of Calcutta.
Although all graduates are eligible to apply for MPSM Courses, however preference for specialization is given to the graduates as indicated below :
Environment Management:
Engineering Graduates/ Science Graduates.
Energy Management:
Graduates in Engineering or AMIE in Electrical or Mechanical, or Science Graduates with Physics/Mathematics/Economics.
Transportation & Logistics Management:
Engineering/Science/Commerce/Economics Graduates.
Health Care & Hospital Management:
Bachelor Degree in any branch of Medical Science/ Pharmacy/ Biological Science/ Social Science & Nutrition.
No candidate shall be eligible for admission to the MPSM course of studies unless he/she has passed the Honours Degree examination or Bachelor’s Degree in any professional course of Calcutta University or any other University/Institution considered equivalent thereto and fulfills other conditions stipulated by the University for the MPSM course.
It is a 1 year full time course and is on self financing basis. Graduates in any discipline are eligible for the course.
The admission takes place through admission test conducted by the institute and selected candidates are called for GD and Interview.
The course fee in Rs 1,10,000 for 1 academic session.
The degree is recognised by AICTE and the course structure is aligned with the Society of Human resource Management. Graduates in any discipline are eligible.
The admissions are on the basis of CAT scores (test conducted by IIMs) and GD/interview.
The fee for 1 year is around Rs 2, 36,000.
IISWBM offers this course with Calcutta Media Institute. Graduates in any discipline are eligible for the program.
Admission is on the basis of GD and Interview.
The fee is 2,50,000 for the course.
