• Bachelor in economics: 10+2 from any stream, for some universities mathematics is compulsory in 10+2 to go for honors in economics. A mathematics and statistics background is generally helpful in economics.
• Master’s degree in economics
• MPhil and a PhD degree are also recommended if you want to go for teaching career or want to go for research.

The fee structure for BA Hons Economics is much lower in central universities like Delhi University while Private universities charge a much higher Fee.
