Courses and Eligibility
Step 1 Graduation: Obtain a Bachelor’s degree in human resources administration and management or any graduation/Engineering/BBA/Economics/Accounting etc. You could opt for other disciplines as well, such as psychology.
Step 2: Masters or MBA program in finance or any equivalent PG Diploma in Financial Management. A summer internship in a company’s finance department will help a great deal. Admission is through entrance examination, GD and personal interview. "
CAT or Common Admission Test is the main entrance exam for MBA aspirants to get admission in IIMs and top B schools. CAT is conducted by the IIMs.
MAT: Management Aptitude Test, MAT is another national entrance test. This test is conducted by the Centre for Management Services (CMS) of All India Management Association (AIMA). Institutes offering PG program in management and allied subjects generally participate in this exam. All management institutes that participate in MAT are either AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) approved or affiliated to universities. MAT is conducted 4 times in year.
Some other institutes of repute conduct their own exams like XAT for XLRI. Some states also have their own MAT exams like UP has UPM CAT. "
IIM Ahmadabad takes a fee of INR 19 lakhs for it Post graduate program and for other IIMs fee vary from 8- 15 lakhs for the PG program.
