Work of a Career Counselor
1. Take the background information and requirements. This information can be taken on a paper, through an interview or as a part of online career assessment .
2. Administer the psychometric tests like Aptitude, personality, skills tests etc.
3. Analyze the tests and come out with scores and make profiles of the candidates.
4. Based on the requirements and score profiles, discuss the Career Options .
5. Help the client choose from the options by discussing the details in various options ( Like course duration, specific requirements of courses) and how well they match with the strengths of the client.
6. Provide support information like entrance exams, college information and coaching institutes, financial support if needed etc.
7. Help the senior clients in the process of job search.
